Laura Barnes

Laura has almost 20 years' experience in workforce planning and development, and labour market/employment programs and policy. She has worked with both government and industry to develop labour supply strategies to increase participation and productivity, and labour demand strategies to support industry development.

Her work in leading workforce policy and programs for the health and community services industry progressed her strong interest in driving interconnected economic and social policy and program development. This interest is being progressed in her current work at Queensland Treasury, where she is working to support the Government's employment agenda to support a prosperous and inclusive Queensland.

Laura is also an experienced executive leader driving strategic and business outcomes for organisations across the public and not-for-profit sectors.
